Just a little bit of background information ;)

So before I post the next chapter of Geist, I thought I would just take a sec and tell you guys a little bit more about me. WAIT NO DON'T LEAVE! hehe. I promise it wont be boring. One of the most common questions I get asked is where I get my inspiration and ideas for my stories and the answer to that is: Almost everywhere!
Just some examples:

Wings of Gray: Angel from X-men was always one of my favorite characters, he was the base for Alex
The Horsemen: A boss fight in Champions: Return to arms video game for Ps2 ;)
Geist: Watched way to many Ghost Hunters international episodes...
The Divide: One of the main characters (Zan) was based off of the design of a red proto drake from WoW. I liked the way they look and built a character and then a story around it.
Fire: I was into Rescue Me the T.V. show for awhile...

And last but certainly not least,The song 'Genetic Emancipation' from Repo! The genetic opera has a line in it that has inspired entire stories, and individual scenes like: Free At Last, Beauty and the Beast, Luck of the Irish, Rehab,  to be or not to be, Things Change.

Honestly, it has inspired at least one scene from almost every single one of my stories, some are influenced by it more than others. If you haven't seen Repo! The Genetic Opera, I strongly advise that you do so now. Otherwise we will no longer be friends. That is all.

"Oh...how I've hated and loved you, how I've hidden behind you, now I finally see. You were mistaken for destiny, but the truth is my legacy, is not up to my genes. True... though the imprint is deep in me, it will always be up to me. Up to me. Ooooh whoa oh oh oh oh ohhh, Free. At last!'

  1. As if we would ever leave! Silly you. Learning about an author and where they get their inspiration is always great!! It helps us to a small sneak-peak of what's going on in the uber-creative mind of yours. And that's just awesome!!!

PS...... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post the next chapter of Geist soon! Seriously, I'm not above begging. So... PLEASE. We love you ;-)

  4. On your main page it is very hard to read the stuff printed in grey or black you might think of using yellow or similar.

    1. i know, but there's no way to change that text color from what i've seen. The only solution would be to change my background color, which I'll mess with today.

  5. While this background does make it easier to read the writing on the left/right of the screen, I don't like it as well as the last background. But-- that's just my personal opinion. And, maybe it's just because I'm not used to it yet... but if I had to choose between the red and blue (and there were no other factors), I'd pick the red.

But, since the red made it hard to red some of the writing, I say go with whatever YOU think works best and whichever you like the most :-)
